What to put in the prompt
Before you create a website with AI, write the brief down. Six details do most of the work, whichever tool you use.
The business, in one line
What you sell and where, plus the single thing a visitor should do next: call, book, order or drop by. “Sourdough bakery taking cake orders” beats “bakery”.
Who visits
Their age, situation and worries. Copy for first-time buyers should not read like copy for investors.
The sections, in order
Services, prices, reviews, contact. A short list is easy to check against the draft; a long paragraph is not.
The tone
Two or three words: calm and reassuring, plain and direct, light and funny. Add what to avoid, such as jargon.
The region
Town, area served and country, so the copy can name real places and use the right currency and spelling.
The language
State the language the site should be in. Mobirise AI also takes the prompt itself in any language.
Skip “modern” and “professional”: every draft aims for both already. Facts you leave out come back as confident guesses, so supply them or plan to delete them.

Each one names the place, the visitors, the sections and the voice. None of them describes colors: those are easier to change after the draft than to predict in a prompt.
Using a sketch or a screenshot as the brief

A site you admire
Borrow the arrangement only: where the photo sits, how many columns, how long the page runs. Its words, images and logo belong to someone else.
What to fix after the AI draft
AI copy reads smoothly whether or not it is true. Check these eight points before anyone else sees the site.
Facts and claims
Delete awards, years in business and figures you never supplied. An AI fills missing facts with believable guesses.
Prices
Replace every sample price with yours, with currency and what it covers. If you quote per job, say so.
Your photos
Swap generic pictures for your premises, products, team and finished work. In Mobirise, click an image to replace it.
Contact details
Check phone, email, address and hours character by character, then use every button and form yourself.
Legal pages
Add the privacy notice, terms or imprint your country and your forms require. The AI cannot know your obligations.
Page titles
Give each page a title and a short description that name what you offer and where. Search engines show both.
Headings
Confirm the generated page has a single top heading and that section titles sit beneath it. Mobirise lets you set the tag of every title.
Phone view
Preview at phone width and read every line. One layout serves all screens, so shorten headings that wrap badly.

Promise rankings
No builder can guarantee a search position. Pages that answer real questions in your own words stand a better chance.

GROW, $249 a year
Everything in BASE, but the AI allowance rises to 1,000 runs a month and the hosted-site limit to ten.
Regenerate is how you stretch a free allowance: when none of the four drafts fits, press it for more variants, which are not counted as another attempt. Write a new prompt only when the drafts misread the business; a wrong color or font is quicker to change in the Style Editor.
Note that KIT ($149 a year) is a desktop-only bundle of premium Bootstrap 5 themes and extensions: it includes neither AI runs nor online hosting. If a plan disappoints, a refund is available for 14 days after your first order.
An AI draft does not lock you in. Is the Mobirise AI website creator free?
It is, with limits: 3 generations a month at no cost, each returning four designs, and up to three hosted sites on mobirisesite.com that carry Mobirise branding. Business sites are allowed on the free plan too.
Can I try an AI website maker free before paying?
Usually, but free means different things. Mobirise and Wix publish on their own subdomains at no cost, with branding or ads. 8B AI lets you design without publishing, Hostinger and 10Web offer trials, Durable shows a private preview, and Framer gives trial credits.
Does Regenerate use up a generation?
No. Regenerate shows new variants for the same request without counting as another attempt. Running a new or reworded prompt is what spends one.
Can I give the AI my old site to redo?
There is no import. Screenshot each old page and use those images as the brief; the drafts come back as editable Mobirise blocks, and you paste your existing text back in.
Can I change the draft without using AI?
Yes, and hand edits cost no generations. Pull extra blocks onto the page, retype any text where it sits, swap a picture by clicking it, and adjust a block's columns, spacing and background through its parameters. The Style Editor holds fonts and colors, and the desktop app does all of this without a connection.
Does the AI draft work on phones?
Yes. Each generated block adapts to screen width, and the editor previews phone, tablet and desktop sizes. The flip side: one layout covers every device, so an element cannot be hidden on phones alone or given a phone-only arrangement.
Is there an iPhone app?
No. On iPhone and iPad you use the AI website creator online at ai.mobirise.com, in Safari or another browser. Android has its own app on Google Play, AI Website Builder: Mobirise, which gives four versions per prompt as well.
If I start with AI, can I host the result elsewhere?
Yes. On every plan the desktop app saves an AI-made site as static files and can upload it over FTP or FTPES, push it to GitHub Pages or keep it in a local folder. Exporting straight from the browser builder takes BASE or GROW.
